Photovoltaic Installations

Solar PV Installation
The installation of Solar PV panels is extremely important and the location must be selected so that the panels receive the optimum amount of daylight possible.
The best location for a PV solar collector is generally on a south-facing roof. Collectors from Newey & Eyre are designed for a quick and easy installation onto many different roof structures using brackets and a mounting rail.
Thin film technologies are ideally suited for large-scale applications where space is not a constraint: commercial premises and ground mountings. Thin film PV uses only about 1/100th of the amount of silicon per watt of electricity produced compared with crystalline silicon, resulting in reduced manufacturing costs and lower cost-per-watt. Crystalline panels are more commonly found on residential properties Crystalline silicon (c-Si) photovoltaic cells deliver the highest efficiencies of any type of solar cell, with leading cells having efficiencies of over 20% in production.
In order to receive the full benefits of the Feed-In Tariff incentive the PV system must be installed by an MCS certified installer. The Microgeneration Certification Scheme requires installers to meet a set of standards. Becoming a trained and certified PV installer will put you and your business ahead so that you can offer your customers the savings provided by the Feed-In Tariff incentive.
