Energy Saving Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CLFi)
Over its entire life of around 15 years, a single OSRAM DULUX® energy–saving lamp will save a total of one megawatt hour (MW h) of electricity and half a tonne of CO2 emissions. That’s more than a tree can absorb in this period.
The new range of OSRAM retrofit CFLis are highly energy efficient. They use up to 80% less energy for the same light output as a conventional lamp and of course, they reduce CO2 emissions.
OSRAM DULUX® retrofit CFLis are available in a wide range of shapes and sizes from classic and stick to candle and globe. They also come in various bases and wattages from 5W (25W equivalent) to 24W (150W equivalent) and some are dimmable.
World’ S First Infinitely Variable Dimmming CFLi
One of the biggest complaints about CFLi is the lack of a full dimming function. Very soon this should no longer be an issue with the launch of the DULUX® EL DIM — the world’ s first infinitely variable dimming CFLi that uses conventional dimmer switches.
World’s First Complete Range of Halogen Energy Savers
OSRAM is the first and only manufacturer to bring to market a complete range of energy saving halogen lamps. The range, consisting of mains and low voltage versions, offers energy savings of up 65% over conventional incandescent lamps and up to 30% over existing halogen lamps.
The range includes the tried and tested OSRAM IRC low voltage lamps, (HALOSTAR® IRC, DECOSTAR® IRC, HALOSPOT® IRC) now re–branded OSRAM HALOGEN ES to reflect their energy saving properties, along with an entirely new OSRAM energy–saving mains voltage halogen category.
The OSRAM ES mains–voltage range encompasses the HALOPAR® 16 ES GU10, HALOLINE® ES double ended, HALOPIN ES, HALOGEN ES R60 and R53 reflectors and HALOGEN Classic and Candle shaped lamps that offer 30% greater energy efficiency over conventional halogens.
Lumilux® Triphos Tubes
Fluorescent lamps produce 70% of artificial light throughout the world and are used because they combine high luminous efficacy with low power consumption. OSRAM LUMILUX® triphosphor fluorescent tubes provide up to 80% energy savings over incandescent lamps. An OSRAM LUMILUX® fluorescent lamp tube, needs only around 15% of the electricity an ordinary light bulb consumes and has an average life of 20,000 hours. OSRAM fluorescent lamps are available in variety of colours from SKYWHITE (8000K) to Warm White (3000K)
Electronic Control Gear (ECG)
Further energy savings can be gained when converting from conventional control gear to the new generation of ECGs. Used in conjunction with OSRAM fluorescent tubes, lamp life can be extended by 50%. This means approximately 30% less waste disposal. ECGs also provide flicker–free light and automatic shutdown at end of life making them extremely safe.
Dimmable OSRAM Quicktronic® Intelligent
ECGs, with cut–off technology, also set new standards in energy efficiency and dimming quality, as they automatically detect the type of lamp in the system and operate it accordingly.
